Nancy O'Dell started her career in broadcasting by working as a reporter at WPDE-TV, Myrtle Beach South Carolina. Later she was a morning-news anchor and crime report at WCBD TV. The journalist's report on the lack of police response towards DUI incidents in Charleston caused an investigation by State Law Enforcement Division, which led to a change in directive from state authorities regarding DUI cases. The Associated Press awarded Ms. O'Dell with her Best Report of the year Award for every aspect of South Carolina media. Following her stint living in Charleston, O'Dell worked as an anchor co-host for the NBC's Miami Station WTVJ-TV and also as an investigative reporter. After that, she joined Access Hollywood to work as a weekday and weekend correspondent. Additionally, she is an anchor on Dateline NBC and NBC News Today. She's covered the Academy Awards The Emmys The Grammys The Golden Globe Awards and co-hosted various pre-show arrivals shows in preparation for The Emmys And The Golden Globes. She has also hosted The Miss America Pageant as well as the Miss USA Pageant and Miss Universe.
