Eva Mendes is an American model and actor. She was spotted by a talent agency who was impressed by her talents and convinced her to pursue a career within the entertainment business. In the end, after a great deal of thought and consideration she decided to drop out of university to enter the entertainment industry. Her debut came in the feature film Children of the Corn V: Fields of Terror and was disappointed with her own performance. She worked hard to hone her acting talents and also participated in many low-budget films in order to show her abilities. It wasn't an effortless path for this actor but her power of will and persistence did not go unrewarded. After her success in Training Day, her career was booming as an actor.
